The Responsibility of Translators and the Cultural Reality

Looking back to the Chinese translation history, we can easily acknowledge the irreplaceable role translators have played in the different historical periods. However, influenced and restrained by social and cultural reality, the function of translators in different periods is different. Focusing on the sense of responsibility on the part of translators, this paper proposes that Chinese translators should be responsible for the Chinese language and Chinese culture.
