| 摘 要： | 本文试图用统计学的方法 ,在语料库的基础上 ,揭示和证明一些科技英语的词汇特征。通过对比几个不同风格和题材的语料库JDEST ,LOB ,Brown和JPEC等 ,用数据和图表等直观的方式 ,探讨了科技英语词汇在构成 ,功能词和实义词方面的具有代表性的特点。

| Abstract: | The author intends to explore and prove some characteristics of EST (English for Science and technology) vocabulary on the basis of the study of some English corpora by virtue of statistic ways of analysis.The author compares several corpora with different styles and topics - JDEST,LOB,Brown and JPEC,etc.,and tries to discuss some representative characteristics of EST vocabulary in its construction,the use of function words (including pronouns,articles and prepositions,etc.) and the difference in the use of content words compared with GE (General English) vocabulary.The article is hoped to be of some help and reference to the teachers of EST and scientific workers. |
