“以人为本，学生第一”理念对高校学生工作的意义

“以人为本,学生第一”理念体现了现代教育的本质要求,是高校认真学习贯彻马列主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想的生动体现,对高校学生工作有着的长远的指导意义和现实意义;而高校学生工作是直接面向广大学生,为学生提供思想、学习、生活等方面的教育、管理和服务,因此,“以人为本,学生第一”的办学理念必然成为高校学生工作的指导思想;在贯彻“以人为本,学生第一”的理念时,应结合高校学生工作的任务,在思想政治教育、学生就业、帮贫助学、心理健康、学生管理的新平台和干部队伍建设等方面加强和改进学生工作。

Significance of "People-oriented, Student First" Conception to Student Work in Colleges and Universities

The "people-oriented,student first" conception is of lasting,guiding and realistic significance to student work in colleges and universities in that it manifests the essential requirement of modern education and how colleges and universities act on Marxism-Leninism,Mao Zedong Thoughts,Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thoughts of Three Represents.Student work in colleges and universities,which has direct contact with students and provides education,management and service for students' ideology,learning and daily life,should be guided by the "people-oriented,student first" conception.Therefore,we should bring into full play this scientific conception in an endeavour to strengthen and improve student work in such aspects as ideological and political education,the improvement of service,students' employment,aid to poor students,mental health,students' management,and the building of cadre contingent.
