The Formation Experience and Historical Significance of the National Northwest Agricultural College——Review and Comment Based on Historical Archives

The formation experience of The National Northwest Agricultural College(predecessor of the Northwest A&F University) was reviewed based on the archives during the War of Resistance Against Japan.The unification of the National Northwest Agriculture and Forestry College,located in Wugong where Houji taught people how to farm in ancient time,and the Agricultural College of the National Beiping University,located in the coastal developed areas of China,symbolized an important integration of modern agricultural civilization.Then supported by a strong faculty,the National Northwest Agricultural College had an excellent performance in educational level and scientific research,and became the only independent agricultural college in China at that time.In particular,the gradually formed educational thoughts and aspirations,which mean being rooted in northwest China and integrated with the world,have become valuable spiritual wealth for building a strong and modern country by education.
