Jiang Jie and Chinese Rural Survey in 1920s and 1930s

Chinese rural survey and research became a common practice in the 1920s and 1930s, and Jiang Jie was a model of the rural survey movement. He set an example to do research through the field investigation and empirical research with foot.The investigation content was vast and rich,and covered many aspects,such as population,natural environment and education, which were aimed to reveal the problems and achieve the purpose of improving rural society by accurate analysis.These investigations promote the localization process of the investigation and research in rural China,and enable us to understand many problems in rural society of the Republic of China,which has important reference value for our current new socialist rural construction.
