英语语言交际中语用模糊的元语用意识分析

在语言交际中,语用模糊是一种特殊的意图性较强的语言现象和语言策略。语用模糊在很大程度上反映了说话人的元语用意识。元语用意识对语言选择的指导和调控作用会以不同的语言形式表现并在语用层面上留下"语言痕迹",即实现语用模糊的元语用标示,如词义模糊、一词多义、模糊限定语、句子歧义、语义命题矛盾、特定修辞格等;而通过非规约性会话含义和间接言语行为形式表达的语句模糊则没有任何语言标志,只能通过语境判断。

Metapragmatic awareness analysis of pragmatic vagueness in Eglish language communication

In language communication, pragmatic vagueness,as a special language phenomenon and strategy,reflects language users'metapragmatic awareness whose functioning and monitoring over the linguistic choice-making can be situated at various strurctural levels of adaptability in different linguistic forms and be traced (under) the lable of metapragmatic indicators,such as fuzziness of words,polysemy,hedges,propositional contradicion,specific figures of speech,and etc.While the pragmatic vagueness conveyed in unconventional implicit conversations and indirect speech acts cannot be traced by any pragmatic indicators,instead,the true meanings of which can only be concluded based on the specific contexts.
