| Abstract: | Lord of the Flies is a masterpiece condemning the evilness of humanity. This article first briefly introduces Jung's collective unconscious theory,archetype theory and archetype - criticism theory in literary review. Then, the article proves that the character of Dionysus in the ancient Greek methology is exactly the archetype of the character of Jack in Lord of the Flies through analysing three similar points between them. |
