试论沈从文的“异乡人”情结

作为现代文学史上的特立独行之士，沈从文有意识地构筑了两个鲜明对立的艺术世界──湘西世界与都市世界。通过对湘西一往情深的讴歌与赞美，捍卫了自己的精神家园；反过来又通过对都市文明的否定来巩固自己的信仰。透过这两个艺术世界，一种鲜明的“异乡人”情结凸现在我们面前。而这种“异乡人”情结的产生又是必然的，既有其合理性，也有其局限性。

Shen Congwen's complex about "strangers

As a person of noteworthy conduct and independent character in contemporary Chinese literary history, Shen Congwen has conscientiously constructed two sharply contrasted artistic worlds, namely. the world of western Hunan Province to which he has eulogized in unfalteringly passionate devotion for protection of his spiritual homeland, and the world of cities whose civilization he has negated in an effort to strengthen his own belief,thereby exhibiting before his readership a complex about "strangers", the necessity of which is reasonable but with limitations.
