论辽太祖耶律阿保机的历史贡献

耶律阿保机作为契丹族一位杰出的首领，他能审时度势，创建契丹（辽）王朝；东征西讨，南攻北伐，开拓疆土；南进中原．行州县制，灭渤海国，建东丹国；崇尚儒学，以“仁义”治国；弭兵轻赋，与民休养生息；广揽汉人，尊重人才；番汉分治，强干弱支；以法治国．变易旧俗。在中国多民族国家发展史上作出了重大贡献。

Historic contribution of the first founder of Liao Dynasty, Yelv ABaoJi

Yelv ABaoJi was an outstanding leader of Qidan nationality.He could size up the situation and founded Qidan(Liao) Dynasty.When he came into power,he broadened Liao's territory by fighting all around and then marched south to Middle China.Yelv ABaoJi organized his empire by practicing state and county system.He also extinguished Bohai regime and set up Dongdan.During his ruling time,he advocated Confucianism,ruling his country by benevolence and law.In order to make his empire more powerful,he decided to stop fighting and reduce taxes so that the whole nation had enough time and energy to develop production.Yelv ABaoJi respected talented people,so he recruited a number of Han people and made proper use of them.While he controlled Han and other nationalities separately,he strengthened the centralization and changed many outdated customs.Yelv ABaoJi made his important contribution to the multi-national development in Chinese history.
