| 摘 要： | 语言是文化的载体,习语是某一语言在使用过程中形成的独特的固定的表达方式。由于习语所具备的独特的文化特征,因而一直以来被认为是翻译中最难处理的部分。分析了文化相似性及文化差异对英语习语翻译的影响,根据不同的文化背景,阐述了英语习语的文化特征与翻译。

| Abstract: | Language is the carrier of culture.Idioms,with their unique cultural features,have been considered as one of the most difficult parts in bilingual translation.The paper analyses the effect of cultural similarities and cultural differences on the translation between Chinese and English idioms,and discusses the characteristics and translation of idioms according to their cultural background. |
