针对湄洲妈祖文献英译中存在的语场信息流失问题,分析了汉英翻译中所涉及的语场变量在语篇翻译中的重要性,探讨了如何有效地避免由语场因素所造成的误译现象。结果表明,语场因素在语篇翻译中起着重要的制约作用,因此,译者在翻译过程中,要重视语场因素,理解语篇的深层含义,以保证源语和译语的语场一致。

English translation of Meizhou Mazu culture from the perspective of field

In view of the loss of field information in the English translation of Meizhou Mazu documents,analyses were made of the importance of field variables in Chinese-English text translation and ways were explored to effectively avoid mistranslations caused by the element of field.The findings show that field plays an important role of restriction in text translation.Therefore,field and the implication of texts deserve translators＇ attention to make sure of the field agreement between source text and target text.
