基于Toastmasters的外贸实践能力培养研究——以福建农林大学国际经济与贸易2009级为例

通过问卷调查和访谈,发现福建农林大学国际经济与贸易本科生在外贸实践能力上存在英语能力薄弱、外贸知识掌握不够扎实、外贸素养不高等问题,描述Toastmasters及其在课堂教学中的应用,指出学生通过Toastmasters的角色扮演,提升了英语表达、局面掌控、临场反应等实践能力,提出加强基础英语的培训、加大专业商务英语训练、增加外贸实践活动环节的建议.

Research on developing practical ability on foreign trade provided by Toastmasters——Based on undergraduate students 2009 of International Economics and Trade from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University

Through questionnaire and survey, it has been discovered that undergraduate students of International Economics and Trade, who are from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, have insufficient practical abilities on foreign trade, such as weak English, inadequate knowledge about foreign trade and low level of accomplishment in foreign trade. Meanwhile the paper describes the nature of Toastmasters and its in-class applications and points out that the students have improved their practical abilities on Eng- lish expression, taking control of the situation and performance on the spot through its role play. What is more, the paper offers the suggestion that the teaching system of Toastmasters should take more attention on the exercise of basic English and the training of business English and more practical exercises on foreign trade should be put into this system.
