| Abstract: | The formulations of strategic argumentation and interpretation of Confucian classics for imperial examinations, beginning in late Northern Song Dynasty, are the historical turning point of annotation in Southern Song Dynasty. The formulas of poetry and Fu and the theory on essays and poems by Jiangxi Poetry School are the paradigms and annotating method for annotators respectively. The ancient prose annotation in Southern Song Dynasty is quite significant in stylistics and is still popular even today in writing skills. |
