试论基督教与道教神性论的区别--兼论中西方文化的特质及其成因

在神性论问题上,基督教和道教虽有相同之处,更有区别之点,具体表现为一神论与多神论、人神异质和神性分享论与人神同质同形和互化论等区别。这些区别规约了它们各自的思维方法。同时分别影响着西方和中国的社会生活方式及其习俗、哲学、自然观、价值观等文化因子,形成注重理性的基督教文化和注重功用的中国道教文化。

The Distinction of Divinity Theories between Christianity and Daoism: Characteristics and Their Causes of Formation in Western and Chinese Cultures

Christianity and Daoism differ in divinity though the similarity exists.The specific differences are shown in the belief of monotheism or polytheism,heterogeneity of deity and man or the share of divinity in man,or homogeneity of deity and man,or convertibility of deity and man.These distinctions not only mark the division of the two beliefs,but stipulate and inspire their respective way of thinking,i.e.Christianity holds the believers in rational ways while Daoism with its polytheism and the belief that deity bears division of labor suggests the value inclination of earthly consideration.The two ways of thinking affect the social life of the West and China respectively,including such cultural elements as custom,philosophy,concepts of nature,and value judgment,thus rationality emphasized by Christianity and function stressed on by Chinese Daoism.
