A Cultural Analysis of Literary Activities

In the field of culture, literary activity is a creative activity of spiritual culture, and also an activity of cultural communication in terms of poetic flavour. It takes cultural context and cultural psychology as its prerequisites, i.e. it unfolds under the constraint of a specific cultural context and take the cultural psychology of the subject as the fundamental motive. Therefore the function of culture in the literary activity is throughout the whole process and all dimensional. Besides, the writer's creation and the reader's reading are both individual activities of creation on the basis of cultural tradition, and their artistic properties constitute the process of cultural communication between the poetic flavours of the subjects. This has not merely created aesthetic culture but also realized the blending of various cultures. Viewed from culturology, the role of literary activity exists in that, for one thing, it has opened up a spiritual home for the mankind by way of aestheticism, for another, it has promoted the development of human culture through the results of cultural creation and cultural blending.
