| 摘 要： | 严复对中国社会最重要的贡献之一是在政治学领域向中国人介绍了西方自由学说,他对西方自由学说的理解是准确的和深入的,他的介绍基本遵循了自由学说的原义;在自由与民主、自由与法律、个体自由与国家自主以及经济自由、思想自由等问题上,他都提出了自己独到的见解;他提倡的新自由主义学说在社会上产生了广泛而深远的影响。

| Abstract: | Yanfu not only translated and brought forth new ideas in the theories of evolution and philosophy of logic,but also introduced western freedom and democratic theories in the domain of Politics to the Chinese people.He made great contribution to the late Qing Dynasty academic circles.He mastered English,read many foreign original works and experienced western life,so he understood the true essence of freedom and democracy. |
