| 摘 要： | 综述了社会语言学在美英诞生40年来的发展历程,着重阐述了作为交叉和边缘学科的社会语言学的学科性质,产生的历史背景与成长轨迹,与传统语言学的分歧。探讨了当代社会语言学内部的五个主要流派:语言社会学、社会方言学、语言社会心理学、言语交际民族文化学、互动社会语言学,指出它们的研究方向各有其侧重,最终共同构成当代社会语言学的基本研究内容。
