| 摘 要： | 隐喻是两个认知域的概念之间的映射,是人类用某一领域的经验来解释或理解另一领域的经验的一种认知活动.空间隐喻是有理据的,而不是任意和约定俗成的,介词在其空间概念的基础上通过从具体到抽象的隐喻投射产生了大量不同的义项,发展了丰富多彩的隐喻含义,并最终形成了介词的多义性网络.介词at-on-in构成了一个"点面体三位一体"的微观系统,它们的原型义及在时间、动作和抽象概念等方面的意义延伸,值得进行系统性地研究分析.从认知学的角度运用空间隐喻对介词惯用法作出合理的解释,对英语教学尤其是词汇教学具有重要的现实意义.

| Abstract: | As a cognitive activity in which human beings use the experience of a domain to explain or understand that of another domain,metaphor is the mapping of concepts between the two cognitive domains.By analyzing the cognitive motivation of prepositional spatial metaphor,we can safely conclude that prepositions have produced numerous different meanings and developed colorful metaphorical connotations,and the polysemantic network is thus formed.Illustrated by at-on-in,their prototypal meanings are explained and extended to time,actions and abstract concepts.Finally,the paper points out the realistic significance of using spatial metaphor to expound prepositional phrases in English teaching,particularly in vocabulary teaching. |
