从先秦到曹魏,羌、氐等少数民族政权一直与中原政权处于相互攻伐的军事状态,曹魏时期民族关系方有较明显的改善。十六国时期,羌、氐诸族在长期的军事斗争中逐渐发展壮大,各政权之间又展开了新的攻城掠地的争夺。隋统一后,羌、氐诸族走向了衰亡。洛阳现存石刻中的姓氏资料提供了羌、氐诸族与汉族融合及中原民族构成的历史信息。
