| Abstract: | English is rich in synonyms, which helps people express themselves more vividly and precisely. However, not knowing the differences among the synonyms, students are confused which to choose in a certain context. Accordingly, this paper explores some tactics to discriminate synonyms from the perspectives of stylistic meaning, grammar, collocation, meaning differentiation and affective meaning, and its application in English teaching and learning. |
