A Brief Commentary on Artificial Language and Logical Language

This paper gives a brief discussion on the emergence and history of artificial language and Frege''s and Russell''s basic ideas on logical language and expounds the relations between artificial language, logical language and natural language. The paper concludes that logical language is a necessary tool for the study of logic but it is different from natural language in terms of its ontological position because natural language is all inclusive and represents our direct understanding of the reality. Thus, artificial language can never replace natural language.
