关于日本文化本质属性的思考

文章通过对日本文化发展演变过程的考察,认为日本文化在形成与发展中形成了自己的特色。第一,日本文化是在不断摄取外来先进文化营养中成长起来的,具有明显的外向性特征和随时进行"拼接"的文化结构机制,同时还产生了另外一个重要后果,那就是使之"本土化";第二,架构日本文化的主载体是日本的神道和中国的儒学,它们构成了日本文化的本质内涵,也是衡量和接受一切外来文化的价值标准;第三,每当日本社会危机发展到必须变革的关键时刻,日本人总是首先吸收外来的先进文化为武器进行变革,最终使社会发生进步性的质变。

On the essence of Japanese culture

This paper, through the observation for the development and evolution of the Japanese culture, maintains that Japanese culture forms its own features in its developing course. First, Japanese culture is gradually growing by constantly learning from the advanced foreign cultures, which clearly bears some outward features and its readiness to accept the better parts of other cultures. At the same time another important outcome came into existence: adaptation to their own needs; Secondly, the main carrier which constructs Japanese culture includes Shinto and Chinese Confucianism, both of which constitute the connotation of Japanese culture and serve as a standard in measuring and accepting foreign culture; Thirdly, when social crisis in Japan becomes so intense that it needs to be transformed the Japanese people always first absorb the nutrition from foreign cultures as a weapon to conduct reforms and eventually lead the society to a qualitative change.
