我国语言生态危机的若干问题

语言生态观把语言多样性与生物文化多样性的相关性作为基本的理论原则.语言生态的平衡发展,是人类生存与发展的必要条件.我国语言生态危机表现在:语种的灭绝与濒危,双语区语言的单极化,局部地区语言(方言)岛的同化与消亡,弱势语言结构整合力的衰变,母语权受到抑制,等等.保护语言生态,应重视语言生态的调查与评估,加强民族母语教育和语言规划,尊重弱势族群的各项权利,维护其自然环境与社会结构的完整性.

Aspects of Language Ecology Crisis in China

Language ecology theory views language diversity and bio-cultural diversity as its basic principle.Balance of language ecology is essential to the continuing vitality and development of the human being.China is now faced with a crisis of language ecology in the following aspects:1)some languages are endangered and on the verge of extinction,2)linguistic monopolization threatens bilingualism or bi-dialect practices,3)language islands have either assimilated in the mainstream or vanished,4)the structural integration of the unreputed languages has decreased and 5)language rights are increasingly been restricted,etc.To save the language ecology from degeneration,immediate attention is required in the following areas:emphasis on the survey and assessment of language ecology,education of native languages and the language planning for traditional nations and local ethnos,protection of the ecology and language rights of traditional and indigenous nations and ethnos,and integrity of their natural environment and society.
