| 摘 要： | 以奥康纳《短篇小说集》中的短篇故事《好人难寻》中怪诞的写作特色为切入点来探析《好人难寻》的社会寓意,即“好人”何以难寻?指出作品中的人物之所以怪诞,根本原因是他们所处的社会是怪诞的,“好人”之所以“难寻”是因为现代文明社会没有提供其生存的土壤与环境。这正是《好人难寻》所阐释的警世和醒世的深刻社会寓意。

| Abstract: | Based on a detailed analysis of Flannery O'Connor's grotesque writing style,this paper points out that the reason why O'Connor creates prodigiously characters who are both mentally and physically ill is that the society they are living in is absurd and the root that "A Goodman is Hard to Find" is that the modern society is unable to nurture good men,which shows the profound social theme and the importance of a further study on her and her writing as well. |
