从功能对等的角度析英语电影片名的汉译

An Analysis on Movie Title Translation from English into Chinese——From the View of Functional Equivalence

In translating English movie titles into Chinese,the function equivalence can be regarded as its goal,at the same time,its informative,cultural,aesthetic and commercial values should be taken into account.In the process of translating,the translator shoule first analyze,transfer and restructure the titles,and then adopt differen methds of translation according to different circumstance;which achieve the identity between the form of Chinese titles and the content of English movles.It attaches importance to the connotative meaming as well as literal meaning of titles.From the angle of function equivalence,the paper analyzes these methods of translation.
