| 摘 要： | 《白孔雀》与《恰特莱夫人的情人》分别是D.H.劳伦斯长篇小说创作的起点和终点。《白孔雀》中的乔治和洛茨理以及《恰特莱夫人的情人》中的恰特莱和梅勒斯分别映射出劳伦斯小说极具特色的主人翁;洛茨理和恰特莱表征了物欲横流的恶果以及人性与和谐性爱的失落;乔治最终的颓废是作者对工业文明的批判,而梅勒斯映射出作者对大自然的热爱、对人性复苏与和谐理想的渴望;女主角莱蒂的屈从和康妮最终的救赎映射出作者的女性观,其生活的树林成为劳伦斯希望的表征……这两部作品映射出劳伦斯人生探索的圆周式轨迹。

| Abstract: | The White Peacock is D.H.Lawrence’s first novel while Lady Chatterley’s Lover is his last.George and Leslie in The White Peacock and Chatterley and Mellors in Lady Chatterley’s Lover are typical characters in Lawrence’s novels.Leslie and Chatterley reflect the evil consequence of Mammon and the loss of humanity and harmonious sexual love.The degradation of George is the author’s criticism of industrial civilization,Mellors mirrors the author’s love of nature,the yearning for the revival of humanity and the realization of harmony.Lettie’s submission and Connie’s final redemption reflect the author’s concept of women.The wood where they live indicates Lawrence’s hope.The two novels mirror Lawrence’s cycle of literary creation. |
