汉语话语标记语的功能及其在英汉翻译中的运用

汉语有大量的话语标记语.话语标记语是固化的语言,其种类多样,功能多样.汉语丰富的叹词和连接性词汇是话语标记语的典型.英语翻译成汉语的过程中,适当使用这两类标记语,将使译文更形象生动,更符合文体,更地道,以实现其语篇连接功能或者人际功能.同时,对于一些需要以经济性为首要原则的翻译活动,则可以考虑直接省略英语的标记语.

Functions and Application of Chinese Language Marks in English-Chinese Translation

A lot of language marks exist in Chinese which are fix and of various types and functions. This paper mainly concerns with two of them ： interjections and connectives. The proper adoption of these two marks will make the translation version more vivid, native and match the style better, thus a better realization of connective and communicative functions. Dele- tion of marks is also possible when the principle of translation is economy, like the translation of subtitles of movies and TV series.
