试论北宋在河湟区域的堡寨修筑战略

河湟区域在宋夏战争中,居于重要的战略地位。为制夏、拓土的需要,北宋在河湟区域大量修筑堡寨。堡寨成为北宋镇守蕃地和河湟地区发展农、牧、商贸业的重要基地和民族融合、交流的桥梁。
