| Abstract: | This article examines Needham thesis that modem China can t continue its way to technological advance in the world by analizing Chinese tradition. It concludes that the question can be answered by the inner defects of Chinese cultural characteristic of "still (jing)" as well as its structure characteristics. Besides, under the repression of the orthodox Confucian, modern China loses its attitude of pursuing scientific spirit in culture. |
