朝鲜诗家对袁枚及其诗论、诗歌的接受与批评

Korean Poets Acceptance and Criticism of Yuan Mei： Poetics and Poetry

During their visit of China, Korean scholars like Yi Deokmu and Yu Deuk-gong learned the life and works of Yuan Mei via such Chinese scholars as Pan Tingjun and Li Diaoyuan. They then introduced Yuan Mei＇s works into Korea. Yuan Mei and his poetics and works are much attended there. Korean poets generally agreed on Yuan Mei＇s leading position in Chinese literary circle, accepted his poetical theories of individual features, and benefited from Yuan both in theories and writings. In term of poetry writing, Korean poets appreciated the magnificence features in Yuan＇s ancient-memorial poems and criticized the superficiality of some other poems of his. This shows Korean poets very mature understanding of Yuan Mei. Their active acceptance and criticism of Yuan＇s poetics and poems marked an important sphere in the exchanges of poetry between China and Korea in Qing innovative studies of Yuan Mei and further surveys of Han Dynasty, the study of which is significant for poetry in east Asia.
