The Tension and Resolution in Resettlement Communities for the Poor Group

The resettlement community institution, as a logic for city life replacing traditional rural society life, which has been practiced in community governance brings about tension and conflicts in daily life and institution. This paper probes the reasons and performance of the tension in governing the resettlement community and the path to solve it, by adopting a new analytic frame-institutions and life-for social changes from a perspective of institutions and life. A good governance is needed in the resettlement community institution, which means that the formal institution should acknowledge the reasonable interests demand of the immigrants in an open and inclusive way; and on the other hand, the immigrants are supposed to take the transformation of the formal institution as a motive to transform from the traditional life to a modern life.
