美国打击伊拉克的目的是：通过控制伊拉克和中东地区石油，钳制欧洲的石油来源，以能源供应短缺打击欧洲的经济增长，动摇欧元的基础，促使欧元解体，从而维护美元在国际金融体系的霸主地位。伊拉克战争是美元与欧元之间的第二次较量。欧元虽然在短时期内难以动摇美元的霸权地位，但在伊拉克战争后，欧元与美元的较量还会继续。

The Iraq War: A New Time of US $ Contesting with Euro

The purpose of attacking Iraq by USA is to maintenance the superpower of the US$ in the international financial system through controlling the petroleum sources possessed by Iraq and the Middle East Countries and to limit the supply of petroleum to the European Union Countries (EUs). By doing so the USA wants to restrain EUs national economic growth and to falter the foundation of the Euro and to disintegrate it finally. The Iraq War is the second time of US$ contesting with Euro. It is indubitable that in a short term the Euro is hardly to change the position of US$ as the hard currency in the world, but after the Iraq War the contesting between US$ and Euro will be continued.
