| Abstract: | Metaphorization is a epistemological activity in essence. The metaphorical expression in language use is an indication of the metaphorical type of cognition. The present paper outlines the important role played by metaphorical cognition in the language for science and technology. In particular, the various patterns of metaphorical cognition are brought into focus in the course of meaning change of terms for science and technology. |
