| 摘 要： | 超自然派中的佼佼者舍伍德·安德森,以他的<俄亥俄州瓦恩斯堡镇>(1919)获得了国际声誉.他摈弃了美国文学上流社会小说一向重情节的传统格局,另辟一条创作风格,通过深入挖掘人物的内心世界,开拓了自然主义的新疆域.安德森的短篇小说<没有点亮的灯>展示了20世纪初美国人的心态和内心世界孤独、无助、彷徨、漂泊不定;永远在追求,却得不到所追求的一切;常被人误解,却又想了解他人,以致他们无不生活在困惑中.

| Abstract: | Sherwood Anderson was the secedor par excellence. He dismissed the traditional structure of the upper class that attached importance to the plot, and departed from it Through digging into the inner world of characters deeply,he opened up a new area of naturalism. In this article, the mood and the inner world of American people in the early twenties have been displayed through the analysis of this short story Unlighted Lamps: loneliness, helpless- ness, hesitation, wandering and drifting. Americans are the same wherever they officially reside,and they are all foot -loose,homeless seekers,but few find what they are looking for. They have been misunderstood, and they seek to understand,and they always live in bewilderment and trouble. |
