| Abstract: | Reading English is a main mode for procuring foreign information. Meanwhile, it is also a method for making social communication. It is necessary to pay attention to the course of extensive reading. By means of the methods of using key words for carrying on teaching activities, and utilizing contexts for suggesting and deducing the meaning of new words and for elevating students' ability of understanding, the teacher can intensify the results of the teaching of practical reading in the course of extensive reading, let the students learn and experience the psycho-linguistic process of reading comprehension in the prctice of doing large amounts of reading, and raise their ability of doing reading comprehension exercises. |
