魏源的改革思想论

魏源在近代中国社会急剧转型时期提出了系统而具体的改革思想。他用中国传统的历史变异观雄辩地证明了改革的必然性,强调审时度势的改革策略,坚持利国利民的改革宗旨,并把培养人才作为改革成功的关键。难能可贵的是,他与时俱进,对中国的改革方向作了具有资本主义倾向的整体设计。尽管魏源的改革思想有其局限性,但解放了人们的思想,在实践中也卓有成效,对我们今天的改革开放事业亦不乏借鉴意义。

On the reform thoughts of Wei Yuan

Wei Yuan put forward systematic and concrete reform thoughts in the period of Chinese social sharp transformation. He demonstrated eloquently the inevitability of reform from the viewpoint of Chinese traditional historical change, stressed the reform tactics of judging the hour and sizing the situation, upheld the reform aim of benefiting his nation and people, and regarded educating talent as the key to reform successfully. It was estimable that he advanced with each passing day and designed Chinese reform direction unitarily with the tendency of capitalism. Although Wei Yuan' s reform thoughts had some limits, they liberated people' s thoughts, which proved highly successful in practice and we can draw on the experience for our today' s cause of reform and opening up.
