| Abstract: | From the time of Mao Heng and Zhen Xuan in the Han Dynasty to the present period, most scholars hold that Wang Feng is a collection of the classic folk songs, popular in Luoyang, the capital of Eastern Zhou Dynasty. Based on a study conducted by the writer, this paper believes that Wang Feng is a collection of folk songs in the royal domain and such songs were popular from the reign of Emperor Xuan in the Western Zhou Dynasty to the reign of Emperor Ping in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. |
