建设和发展社会主义民主,是我国现代化建设的根本目标和根本任务之一,政治体制改革的目标是建设有中国特色的社会主义民主政治。社会主义与民主是不可分的,民主是社会主义的本质之一,生产资料的公有制,必然要求政治上的民主化。社会主义在本质上是民主的,民主是社会主义社会发展的客观要求。因此,探讨建设有中国特色的社会主义民主政治,是我们面临的一个重要课题。
