才猷茂勚的赵侃

自明代开始,贵州的历史文化已经散发出璀灿的光彩,在安顺乃至贵州的历史人物画卷中,赵侃是明代前期引人瞩目的一颗耀眼明星。他不仅是安顺人引以为自豪的第一个进士,也是贵州较早任职京师贵为九卿的官员之一,并且又是最早身受皇帝赐祭葬的大臣。赵侃为官勤政爱民、疾恶如仇,敢于直言谏对,是封建时代传统的治世能臣;他关爱家庭,富有同情心、责任感,是儒家心目中理想的士大夫。他对于安顺和贵州学风的转化具有推进作用,在贵州的历史人物中享有重要地位。

Zhao Kan-An Minister with Talent and Achievement

From the Ming Dynasty on,the historical culture of Guizhou was magnificent.In the list of the historical figures in Anshun and even in Guizhou,one of the most brilliant is Zhao Kan who lived in the early Ming Dynasty.He was the first to win the third place for the candidate in the national civil examination in Anshun.He once worked in Beijing Normal University and was one of the ministers from Guizhou.When he died,the emperor bestowed him a state funeral.Zhao Kan was a diligent official.He loved his people and abhorred the evils as deadly foes.He was courageous enough to speak out his suggestions to the emperor.He was a traditional feudal official with capability.He was sympathetic and responsible.He loved his family and was an ideal official in the eyes of scholar-bureaucrats.He pushed forward the transformation of study style in Anshun,and in Guizhou as well.He is one of the most important figures in the history of Guizhou.
