A Dialectical Reflection on the Socialist Essence——A view on efficiency and fairness

The theory of socialist essence put forward by Comrade Deng Xiaoping contains two main points.The first point is to liberate and develop productive force.The second point is to distinguish the wide gap between two extremes and make all the people better off.The former emphasizes the efficiency of socialism and the latter stresses the fairness of socialism.The fairness of socialism without efficiency is no more than equalitarianism which is not the real socialism,while the efficiency of socialism without fairness will lead to wide gap between the extremes and social instability.Only when the dialectical unity of the two points has been realized,can the socialist essence and advantages be produced.The fairness of socialism needs to be created and protected with socialist policies.The complete and dialectic understanding of the socialist essence is of great significance in the building of a harmonious society at present.
