初吴疆域不仅包括今苏、锡、常、镇地区 ,还应包括今南京和湖州地区。吴国盛时南界为今海宁至崇德、德清、莫干山、广德一线 ;西南界应包括今江西中南部 ;西界在寿梦、诸樊时不应包括今六安 ;北界不应包括武城 ,而应包括丰邑

A Supplementary Textual Research into the Territory of the State of WU

In the early period of Wu,a state in the Zhou Dynasty,its territory not only covered Suzhou,Wuxi,Changzhou and Zhenjiang,but also stretched as far as the areas of Nanjing and Huzhou.In the heydays of its ruling period, the southern frontier of the state of Wu extended to Haining and the areas of Chongde,Deqin,Mount Mogan and Guangde,the southwestem frontier stretched as far as the Middle South of Jiangsu Province,the western frontier did not reach Liuan during the periods of Shou Meng and Zhu Fan,the northern frontier extended to Wucheng as well as Fengyi.
