| Abstract: | This thesis attempts to expound that Mathew Ricci originated the history that the western and eastern scholars translated and introduced the western science literature together to China. He firstly translated "the four books" into foreign countries and trained many translators missionaries'. Translation activities headed by Mathew Ricci made the second high tide of translation history of China come into being. |
