A Review of Study of Tujia Culture in the 1990s

In terms of both form and content, the study of Tujia culture entered a prosperous era in the 1990s. This paper makes a review of its study process, summarizes its research achievement and generalizes its characteristics. The author thinks that it is a stage of inheriting the study in the 1980s and ushering the later study. The study in the 1990s has not only great achievements but also the academic innovation. Moreover, it has trained a large number of researchers with high quality and constructed a theoretical system of Tujia discipline. Hereby, it has laid a solid foundation for Tujia study in the 21st century.
