中原文化在中华民族形成与发展中的历史作用与地位

在中国古代文明形成时期最具代表性的考古学文化———二里头文化是以河南龙山文化重要因素为核心、为主体,同时吸收一些其它考古学文化因素而形成的。作为夏王朝物化载体的二里头文化,学术界一般认为这是中国古代文明形成与国家出现时期最为重要的考古学文化。青铜时代的夏文化、商文化和周文化是“华夏文明”与“华夏族文化”的物化载体,这些考古学文化所属的社会“共同体”,对当时中国古代历史的发展发挥着“主导”作用,处于“主导”地位。西汉王朝真正完成了中国历史上多民族统一的中央集权国家的大业,在先秦“华夏族”的基础之上,形成了“汉族”,以汉族为主体又形成了中华民族。以汉族为主体的中华民族形成与早期发展时期的考古学文化———汉文化,它的时空以汉代的中原地区为中心,随着时间的发展逐渐向周边扩大。考古发现证明,自夏商周至汉唐时代,中原地区是“华夏文明”、“华夏族”、以汉族为主体的中华民族的中心活动地区。在这一历史时期,中原地区的各支考古学文化所属社会“共同体”在社会历史发展中起着主导作用。
