Textual Research on Identity of Lao Zi

It was commonly known that Lao Zi was the historian Zhang,which was strengthened by the unearthing of LaoZi,a bamboo book from Guodian,Jingmen.After an exhaustive study of Zhang in his idea and life,the paper proves that he was a historian in the middle Warring States Period,who up held the idea that history goes backward.He is not Lao Zi,whose activities were in the late period.They belonged to different periods with different ideas and a cademy.What's more,they didn't share the same name and activities and were born into families of different social class.
