摘    要:盛宣怀不仅是中国近代民用工业的开拓者,也是中国近代新式教育的开先河者,他在为中国近代经济发展作出重要贡献的同时,也为中国近代教育事业的发展作出了巨大贡献,并在兴学育才的实践中,形成了轻科举封建传统教育和空疏无实、学而无用的科举人才,重新式教育和有用之学,重学有专长和实际才能的新式人才,西学中用、实学实用的具有改革创新精神的教育观和人才观。

Abstract:SHEGN Xuan-huai was not only a pioneer of modern civil industry but also an explorer of new mode education. In his practice of education, he formed his creative view on education and talents, that is, he weakened the role of imperial examination in educating talents and emphasized the role of new mode education in cultivating talents with expertise and practical skills.
