| 摘 要： | 委婉语是语言使用过程中的普遍现象,中西方语言中均存在委婉语。它们除了具有一些共同属性外,又因为中西文化的差异而存在不同。本文分析了英汉委婉语之异同,为在跨文化交际中正确看待和使用委婉语而提供借鉴。

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a common phenomenon in the process of language use. There exist euphemisms both in Chinese and English. In addition to some similarities, there are some differences because of different cultures. This paper analyses the differences and similarilies between Chinese and English euphemisms and provides some helptul information for intercultural communication. |
