Sound and Fury in the Depth of Human Life: On Women's World in Sun Huifang' s Novels

In her novels, Sun Huifang, as a woman writer focusing on her native soil, has constructed a country feminine world full of dissolute female characters with her own life experiences. The female characters are of three series： women who, in their aberrations, yearn for the elevation of their spiritual world; women who, driven by lust, display their defiance and rebellion against life principles and moral ethics, and women who obtain catharsis and satisfaction through their affairs and flirts with men. None of the females depicted in her novels can escape from the doomed tragic fate. In contemporary literary circle, Sun＇s female experience, perspective of human life and humane care and love all bear positive significances worthy of exploration.
