A Retrospective Text of Individualism Specialization

Beginning with individualism, this paper analyzes the "fictional text"of Eileen Chang (Zhang Ailing),thus revealing Chang's life experience and the cultural and philosophical connotations of her writings in the earlier stage. Under the contemplation from the perspective of the individualist outlook, the"fictional text" just points to the retrospection of individualism by applying of the"moon", the"mirror"and other images,and by describing the mentality of her heroes and heroines, and by employing her unique, closed, and cycling construction. In terms of linguistic philosophy, the fictional text may be viewed as a mirror between the watcher and the watched. It obliquely reflects that self-consciences is very important in the mature of personality, and that, only under the state of self-consciousness',can retrospection be accomplished with reference to the mirror. Consequently, the fictional text bears profound connotations of cultural philosophy.
