传播领域的第三人效应及其影响因素

摘    要:第三人效应(The third—person effect TPE)最早由美国哥伦比亚大学戴维森(W.P.Davison)教授1983年提出,它是指个体倾向认为大众媒介信息对他人比对自己有更强的影响效果。第三人效应的假设得到验证之后,其影响因素如信息类型、社会距离、个性特点等越来越成为研究的热点。

Abstract:The third - person effect was proposed firstly by professor Davidson of Columbia University in 1983. Third - person effect states that people tend to believe that other people are more influenced by mass media messages than themselves. After the verification of this theory, its affecting factors have become one of the topics of general interests in communication study, such as information condition, social distance and personality.
